Self-Hatred

If you have something you really want to do or achieve and you find yourself not enjoying the process of it, do it anyway while carefully pacing yourself. The absolute last thing you want is regret for things you could've done but didn't do because it hurts badly, it stays with you and you may never like yourself again because of it. Journalist Sydney J. Harris said/wrote, "Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable." Additionally, athlete Roger Bannister's Viennese coach, Franz Stampfl, told him, "If you pass it up today, you may never forgive yourself for the rest of your life."
